In an instant, there was nothing. Only the comforting darkness of the nothingness, the sea without waves, without pain, and the taste of unconsciousness. In the following moment, there was the dungeon. It felt like waking inside a nightmare - not knowing how I had arrived here, or even who I am. Cold, hungry, and thirsty, unable to see beyond six feet in these narrow halls where slime and evil drip through the walls. I heard the scratch of little claws eager to test the resistance of my flesh. In the shadows, I sensed wicked eyes stalking me, cruel and starving. My initial desire was to return to the nothingness, but that was no longer an option. So, I searched for the sword that, somehow, I knew was sheathed at my waist. I lit my torch. And embarked on the adventure.
