Cold, hungry, and thirsty, unable to see beyond six feet in these narrow halls where slime and evil drip through the walls. I heard the scratch of little claws eager to test the resistance of my flesh. In the shadows, I sensed wicked eyes stalking me, cruel and starving. My initial desire was to return to the nothingness, but that was no longer an option. So, I searched for the sword that, somehow, I knew was sheathed at my waist. I lit my torch. And embarked on the adventure.
